Section A (compositions based upon or inspired by ethnic music from Sardinia)

Anninnia (Lullaby)
A lullaby or cradle song: it derives its name from the recurring pattern "anninnia anninnia". The musical style is one of the most archaic together with the Duru-duru, the Attittu and the Andimironnai. Its usual pattern consists of a series of rhyming couplets among which stereotyped lines are inserted. "Anninnia" is always sung by a single female voice.
